All Things Apple

All Apple, All the Time

Description of App:

Calca is a text editor with markdown support and, also, a powerful calculator. It recognizes math in your text and performs calculations as you type, you only have to introduce the symbol `=>`.
For example, if you type 2 + 2 =>, calca will calculate it automatically, and you will see 2 + 2 =>
Calca supports complex operations and functions,. You can work easily with things like matrices or trigonometric identities.
Another great characteristic are variables. You can introduce variables and use it in operations. A practical example with a simple physical formule. Notice that calca also recognizes units:
Distance = Speed * Time
Speed = 10 M / S
Time = 10S
Distance => 100 M

Accessibility Comments:

As the majority of text editors, calca is fully accessible with voice over. I didn”t have problems using it.

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments:

I recommend this app. I’ve discovered it searching some app for working with matrices, and now I don’t use it for matrices only, I use it for all my maths work. It has replaced all the apps I used to use (pages, numbers, calculator…). It costs five USD dollars, but I think it worths.
